Canadian technology company

Building what's next.

We build software we own, and software for select partners. Koeta is a privately held Canadian technology company that owns and operates its own software products, and takes on a small number of confidential client engagements in custom software, automation, and API integrations, two tracks, kept deliberately separate and held to the same standard.

Track one

Products we build

Software Koeta owns and operates end to end, from the decision to build it, through every release since. PetKira, our pet-wellness app, is open for early access ahead of launch; Koeta ARCHITECT is on the way. Owning a product all the way through means we live with our own decisions: what to fix, what to improve, and what happens after launch, not just the build itself.

Track two

Work we take on

For a select number of partners, we build custom software, automation, and API integrations, real systems for a specific problem, not a generic engagement. We keep this list short on purpose: the same team that builds Koeta products, builds this work too, and that only scales so far. Most client work is confidential.

What connects the work

Two tracks, one discipline.

Owning a live product changes the questions you have to ask. A release isn't the finish line - people keep using what you built, priorities shift, and every choice affects what you can do next. Building Koeta products ourselves means we've had to live with these responsibilities directly, not hand off a deliverable and move on. That's the same discipline we bring to client work: we'd rather understand a problem properly and build the smallest useful thing than ship something impressive-looking and walk away from what happens to it.

  • We turn down work that's a bad fit.Saying no to a mismatched project protects the ones we do take on.
  • We stay after launch.Ours and our clients' - a release is a milestone, not an exit.
  • We'd rather ship small and useful.Than big and impressive-looking with no one responsible for what happens to it next.

Why we exist

Socially responsible software for underserved markets.

We build for people and problems that get skipped over by mainstream software, not as a side mission, but as the actual business. That means starting with a real, specific need instead of a general market opportunity, and asking honestly whether software is even the right answer before we start building.

The same standard applies on both sides of what we do. In our own products, it means committing to a market fully enough to stay accountable for it after launch. In client work, it means treating someone else's problem with the same care we'd want if we were the client. Our work starts in Canada. We intend to take it further.
